All you need is love.
At least that’s how the song goes. But in real life, we need a whole lot more to get us through long-term relationships when life’s ups and downs begin to challenge our connection with our partners.
Parenting, financial troubles, stress, and intimacy blocks are all common hurdles that couples face. While love is always fundamental, we need a bit more than that to overcome these challenges in a healthy, respectful, and supportive way. That’s where a Montreal relationship coach comes in.
I’m Roula Badis and I would be delighted to be your relationship coach. I’m here to help you and your partner explore the inner workings of your love bond and to develop stronger communication skills, enhance your intimacy, and deepen your affection and pleasure.

What is Relationship Coaching?
A relationship coach works with couples to help enhance various aspects of their partnership. When couples are ready and willing to work on their present partnership, Relationship Coaching provides them the tools they need to:
- Unify their relationship while maintaining each party’s precious identity
- Become better at communicating their feelings and needs
- Do life better together and overcome big and small challenges
- Work through difficult moments that we all face in long-term relationships
Just like a sports coach who gives their players drills and exercises for improving their game, a couples coach offers very tactile and action-oriented exercises for being better partners. Marriages and long-term relationships naturally go through rough patches, but a relationship coach can help you develop the skills to deal with these moments in a productive, respectful, and loving way.
It’s a common misconception that couples only need to work on their problems when disaster strikes. But we all know that it’s the little things that add up over time that cause bigger problems down the road. That’s why it’s important to build a strong foundation and relationship toolkit from which you both can use as a resource when issues pop up.
How Does Relationship Coaching Work?
Our coaching sessions start with an assessment where we spend time discovering your goals and greatest challenges.
I would ask you to be as honest as possible at this stage so that we can take a serious look at the issues that may be affecting other aspects of your partnership. At this stage, no issue is too small.
One of the important components of Relationship Coaching is learning how you act as a couple. I spend some time observing how you both interact in verbal and non-verbal ways. I then provide timely interventions and exercises to bring more awareness to your behaviours and establish stronger, healthier communication tools. You may receive suggestions that will encourage active listening, voice toning, or the best body language to express loving intimacy.
As an action-oriented service, my job is to empower you both to improve your relationship every day and set you on the path towards achieving and maintaining what you both want from your life together.
What Are the Benefits of Relationship Coaching?
No team would win any game without the guidance of a caring coach.
When you work with me, I will be your resource to help you when anything unforeseen arises. Did something challenging just step in your way? I’ll be there to guide you through it.
Due to the very targeted coaching techniques, you may discover that your relationship starts to improve instantly. Your relationship with yourself will be more empowered, and you will be amazed by how quickly your marriage starts to benefit from a coach’s insight when you apply these tools in real-time.
Couples Coaching is very targeted. If you ultimately wish your partner showed more affection or took a more active role in parenting, a coach helps you learn how to effectively and lovingly express these needs by stepping toward each other without melting into your spouse’s identity. By meeting each other in the middle, you’ll keep that little space of freedom for yourself where there is room to reignite the flames of passion.
in Montreal During COVID-19
Because of the global pandemic, we are at an unprecedented moment in history. In lockdown, couples must spend most, if not all, of their time under the same roof. It’s perfectly normal to experience moments of “cabin fever”. If either of you is struggling with stress, worry or anger, this may be affecting your relationship. There’s no better time than now to work with a relationship coach to guide you through these new set of challenges and foster better co-habiting skills.
While in-person meetings aren’t possible at this time, I’d be happy to schedule online meetings with you via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. All our meetings will be followed up with regular emails and phone calls. Once lockdown measures have been eased, I look forward to meeting you and your spouse in person.
